Health and nutrition coaching is a series of one-to-one or group conversations, behavioural exercises, health assessments and nutrition/health education sessions designed to help you develop and reach your health goals. The coach provides the framework for these conversations along with non-judgmental space, time, insight and most importantly nutrition and health expertise to allow you to explore your emotions, behaviours, values and limiting beliefs that might be holding you back. Coaching helps you to generate step by step strategies to reach your health goals and solutions to solve any road blocks.
Do you ever wonder what you could achieve if you had a dedicated nutrition expert in your life who genuinely believed in you and was dedicated to your success ? That's a health coach!
Great health coaching produces immeasurable life-long benefits as it involves a complete shift in your mindset and attitude to health. Through health coaching, you achieve a new level of awareness about yourself that allows you to be more disciplined, motivated and in control of your health and lifestyle which ultimately leads to improved health, mood, body image (regardless of your size or shape) , sleep and energy and stress levels.
The benefits of health coaching are immeasurable and completely unique to each person but below are just some of the benefits you can expect;
Areas you can work on depend on the health coach. I am a registered clinical nutritionist so am qualified to advise on a number of diseases and disorders such as high blood pressure, diabetes, IBS, Obesity, PCOS, Reflux etc. I have a keen interest in and experience with helping technology companies and people who work in tech to improve their general health and wellness, having worked in tech myself for many years I have a unique understanding of the environment and it's health challenges.
Below are just some of the areas of your health and wellness that might come up in sessions or be part of our goal plans.
Health coaching sessions are hugely beneficial in giving you the regular space and time to reflect on your thoughts, behaviour and progress, get advice and keep yourself accountable. Being actively listened to for an hour a week by a trained professional is great BUT health coaching is about action. It's the practical application of the theory and skills learned in coaching to your life outside each week that matters most.
I will help you to achieve your health goals. I do this by listening to you intently, completing a health assessment, making recommendations, educating you around all things diet and health, asking powerful & thought provoking questions, keeping you accountable and sometimes by challenging you. Your success is my ultimate goal and sometimes this needs me to reflect back to you things you might not like such as behaviours, thought patterns or an outside perspective. These are some of the most valuable things I can do for you.
I work with high potential clients who are truly ready to invest in themselves, ready to be open minded, explore new ways of thinking and ready to change. Although I believe 100% in my abilities, coaches sometimes aren't a good fit for some clients and that's ok! If this is the case, I will refer you to where you will find the most success.
Health coaching is a collaboration. Below outlines what each of our responsibilities are to ensure you have the most success possible.
Coaches Responsibilities;
Clients Responsibilities;
I started out as (and always consider myself to be) a biologist. I completed my first degree in Biotechnology specialising in food biotechnology. I then went on to study a masters degree in Clinical Nutrition & Health at Glasgow Caledonian University. This allowed me to register as a nutritionist with the Association for Nutrition, A UK body that monitors and insists on the evidence based practice of nutrition interventions. After this I worked in the tech industry for around 8 years all the while maintaining my Continued Professional Development (CPD) in nutrition.
As part of my commitment to a more holistic approach to health in all aspects, I completed an advanced diploma in personal coaching at Kingstown College. This, along with over 160 supervised coaching hours meant I was eligible to apply for accreditation with the European Mentorship and Coaching Council (EMCC). The EMCC is a global regulatory body for coaching and mentorship standards and ethics.

Development of a bespoke coaching program with me is currently €1399 and includes weekly calls over a 12 week period. Payment is available in monthly instalments or in a one time lump sum. This investment is in yourself and is life changing if you do the work. I don't believe the availability of finances (especially at this time) should be a barrier for you to reach your potential, so I do offer a small number of heavily discounted places per quarter. Please mention this in the message box of your form when applying for the 30 minute free session and we can figure something out.
